westin langkawi resort & spa, a 5 star vacation

presenting to you a 5 star vacation at the westin langkawi resort & spa. had a wonderful time at langkawi and turned out to be one of my best mini local vacation. a relaxing and an ideal holiday worth every single penny provided you stay at a 5 star accomodation. it's peak season from nov - jan. hence, expect it to be a little pricy. rm663 per night for a standard room. you could rent and bargain for a small kelisa at the price of rm75 per day. alcohol is darn cheap and alcohol lovers could enjoy being tipsy 24hrs.

swimming pool facing the scenic blue sea and island. the breeze is just so cooling. recommend to sign up for an island tour package (3 islands) for the price of rm45. worth it!

day and night, anytime, you could replenish yourself with their yummy cookies and refreshing drinks.

deluxe patio room which offers you with a king size bed and their signature Heavenly Beds® – guaranteed to offer a blissful night's sleep, your very own private patio, and other 5 star amenities.

it's just soooooooo romantic at night. close your eyes and enjoy the harmonious melody of westin's lounge band.

note to cheekypau : slaving yourself for work and money makes it mandatory for you to splash yourself with a wonderful and luxurious holiday at least once a year.

malaysia's public toilets

what comes into your mind when someone asks you about "malaysia's public toilet"? asked a friend to comment and he just replied with a "HAHAHAHHAHA!" then asked about the small fee that they would sometimes impose ie. rm0.20 / rm0.30 and he commented again that the "maintainance by any related malaysian party is doomed. hence, not worth the value."

in my opinion, when you need to pee then you need to pee NOW! if they charge you a fee, what option do you have? just pay, take a deep breath, suck in, say a little prayer and hope that you will come out alive.

i must post on this particular public toilet whereby it is money's worth. it's located at a tourist spot, langkawi. costs rm0.50 per entry. didn't bring a camera in when i had to go. so then i had to force someone else to go into the male's toilet and take a pic. hahaha! he then commented that it was so easy and relaxing to pee with the sound of the water streaming out from the miniature fountain. clean and smells nice too.

well done! to this toilet and not the easy pee-ing process *wink *wink

chilli chilli

stopped by at pun chun chicken biscuits & restaurant sdn bhd (@ bidor) for lunch. at first glance from the outside, nothing impressive from this tiny old corner shoplot. then i was told that this place used to be packed with customers but unfortunately fate wasn't the same upon the construction of a new highway which bypassed this 'ol town.

wan tan mee is one of their main attraction. then it's their biscuits/tid-bits.
since i am not a big fan of wan tan mee and dry stuff, my eyes were caught by my favourite chilli pickle. my jaw dropped when i saw it being served in a huge container. you can't get this kind of generosity at kl. within 15 minutes, a lady had diligently refilled the container. as a matter of fact, she's solely with the task of ensuring the chillies are always fully refilled. two thumbs up from me just because of their chillies :p~~~

stopped by at ipoh. again! very generous of the shop owner to serve their home made blended chilli in a big container. i just loveeeeee it!!!

contradiction

been visiting a few blogs to kill my boredom. it tickles me to see some of them taking a public stand to remain anonymous ie. unknown name, unknown picture, unknown identity, unknown source (a blog for the purpose of leashing out their frustration) etc.. but then after you scroll down a bit ... whooops!! a full access to their real name OR a full access to their vain pictures OR a chatter box with full of their personal friends leaving comments OR a full link access to their personal details OR allowing GOOGLE to pick it up. isn't it an irony.

* wink wink ^_* i've tried to live up to my 2007 motivational goals and i conclude that i am not perfect. hehehe ....

note to cheekypau : representing or giving out a contradictory statement indicates a mockery to a person's character. (all the best to my 2008 motivational goals!)

bbq with cheeky pau

as promised, a productive december month, had arranged a bbq session together with a group of 13 good colleagues. only the fun and sporting group were invited. really have to thank the host for lending us her place and also the unlimited supply of alcohol. all of us had a task to do and mine was to buy the fish balls and prawn balls. no one trusted me to do any cooking because of my previous experience :( ... sent 2 people to the hospital on 2 separate occasion with my curry chicken during my uni days. hahahaha....

really huge prawns. even the indon maid was amazed to see HUGE prawns. (found at old Klang rd market)

asked to get 5 corns, ended up with 10 corns. so so so greedy -_-"

my balls!! my balls!! tasty and was gone in 10 minutes. hooray!! hmmmm ... some sausages were burnt. honey burnt.

chicken were marinated in half a bottle of white wine and spices. very yummyyyyy. also very very yummy on the lamb when dipped into mint sauce.

huge mushrooms + sweet tomatoes + cheese + butter = yummy bbq mushrooms

these 2 salads are beautiful and as yummy as they look. trust me! very fresh, crunchy and nice. better than kfc. i really love it and i want more!!!

lo mai kai rice. home made. wow! wow! wow! everyone attacked this first.

home made laichee soya puding. i really like this. too bad the chef could not reveal the recepi 'cos they are selling it commercially as well. made my day ....

yippie december

the time of month with lots of holidays. the time of month with less work. worst of all, the time of month where my brains are tempted to switch off most of the time.

*cheekypau gave a small non-enthusiastic shout* yeh! .... (-_-)" ....

at the same time, my mind began to wander and filled me with guilt for being soooooooo unproductive and allowing my laziness to kick in. i need a boost of fulfillment!!! i need to live up to my vision of life.

thanks to the help of my coffee medication, i vowed to get some things rolling.

cheeky pau's eating world

let me introduce you to one of my eating world. this is one of my favourite restaurant, "mun siang lo restaurant", located at klang. not pack and fast and tasty. price wise = average and reasonable like any other average restaurants. how tasty is tasty?? if by looking at the pictures below could make you drool, you do not need me to go into detail. note that i did not upload a few more dishes and that they do have other super yummy dishes to choose from. for this round, the crispy kailan and sweet + sour soup are my favourite.

sweet and sour fish

buttered mantis prawns

crispy fried kai lan

mayonnaise pork ribs

fried cashew nut chicken

fried broccoli and mushroom

sweet & sour soup

funny despatch boy

an urgent document needs to be delivered (no idea what). it requires the thumb print of our despatch boy. on top of that, it must be in black ink. unfortunately, we have blue and red stamp pad only. being lazy to walk over to the other department for a black stamp pad, he shouted to our tea lady "kak zzz, take yyy's shoe polish" (*kak zzz gave him a dangerous stare look) "it is the same what. they want black, i give them black. on top of that, a polish look. a stylish thumb print with quality. don't give me that look. killer ~~~".

pretty pretty nails

well i'm one of those "some" gals out there who would just love to pamper herself once a while. someone used to say to me "as long as it makes you happy, go!, do it!, money well spent". but how to survive??? besides nails, i love massages, change my hair style once a while, shop for shoes, shop for clothes, add to my sticker book collection, read comic books, vacations, etc ....

anyway, shall introduce you to my nail arts, my new pleasurable obsession :

done at damansara.
very very good. asked her to surprise me and came out perfect! price and quality is just right. can't remember the price but cheaper than the rest.

done at sabah.
not too happy. not neat / maybe it's my expectation. rm150 for the whole package including the extension nails (lasted a month).

done at sunway pyramid.
very good. professional. very neat. however, not too happy with the price. they've charged me an extra of rm24 for services. rm6 for each nails.

note to cheekypau : vanity hurts. extension nails causes alot of pain when you want to remove it.

new job & new life

hopping to a brand new job. survived 4 days already. so far so good. it's the time to outshine and test my memory power. so many names and so many departments and so many protocols and so many procedures.

on my 1st day of work, just found out that i've been signed up for my first managerial level, team building trip. the best part of all .... my first overseas company trip! and a full expense paid trip! and it's not even a cheapo trip! and i'm not even a confirmed staff! and it is within a month time! super cool!!!

so lucky that i can mix well with the staff here. funny bunch of people.

my boss is also a funny guy with alot of wisdom.

activities are never ending too. colleagues asking me for a badminton session and then a karaoke session and then a snooker session. gosh....

i am liking it here!

i'm slow but i'm in front of U!

i was driving to work this morning, half asleep and half frustrated with the jam.

then this small car caught my eyes. "i'm slow but i'm in front of U!"

was challenged that this driver had indirectly teased me. oh yeh! i'm already caught in the jam and you want to tease me!! hmmm ... i've just had to see the face of the driver behind the wheels. as soon as i saw an opening ... zoooOOooooM to the left and zoooOooom back to the right. huhahauhaa!!! at that point of time, i'm just so good at overtaking. looked back and it was a small tiny little malay lady with a tudung and specs. cheh!! wasted my time only. i just don't get it. why place a provoking signage and at the same time possesses a timid & harmless outlook. i figured that she must have had a little bit of inferiority complex.

in a split second, switched back to the half asleep and half frustrated with the jam mode. here we go again .... so boring .....

looks yummy

canape! canape! canape!

a mix & match of recipes. looks simple as it's only a combination of few ingredients but yet pricey. i've had the opportunity to indulge at one of my event (not under my expense) hehe. each of these yummy savory costs averagely rm15. why? the brain behind these savory is well known for being one of the world's top chef. none other that chef kevin chekars. definitely envy all those rich bastards. y? they get to release their everyday stress & enjoy good food in a relaxing ambience anytime & everywhere & price isn't an issue. reminds me of that cartoon movie "Ratatouille". a funny show! a must to watch! a great french chef rat called Remy.

Caviar Blinis

Virtual Fruit Macaroons

Willows (chocolate sticks coated with pop-corn)

Crustacean Shooter

Oyster gratinee

BBQ Wagyu Beef Burgers

Lobster "shooter"

Truffled Brie Cheese

smoked salmon "Air" Baguette

Prawn Miso "Bubble" (was told that he mastered it at spain)

Lafite Caviar Waffles (my all time favourite!!!!)

eat it all with a glass of chilled white wine ... slurp slurp slurp!

note to cheekypau : anyone can cook but not everyone can dine the food of a great chef.
